Dungeon Door Defender is a tower defense pinball game with three distinct modes of operation. Gameplay is broken into distinct phases, with fast-paced pinball play punctuated by periods of careful consideration. Dungeon Door Defender is the first third-party game developed by Michael Ocean for the Multimorphic P3 Pinball Platform, which was released in September of 2023. The game is currently playable on the Heist playfield module, with The Princess Bride compatibility in progress. In this interview, Michael discusses the process of game design, graphical and sound design, and some of the differences between first and third-party development.
