Monte Vista native Kim Marquez joins The Creative Citizen in The Closet Recording Studio at The Church Project in January 2026. A life lived as a creator, a beautiful accident that has placed Marquez in a unique space of self-growth and connection with community. Celebrating 3 years with a local photography studio and decades observing, questioning, and experiencing life behind the lens of a camera, Marquez invites listeners to step into themselves and step into community. Madeleine Ahlborn Maddy moved to the San Luis Valley in 2014 from Boston, and has immersed herself both in the community and outdoor spaces where she discovers unexpected stories to share with the Valley audience and beyond. She is the host of the Creative Citizen: Unexpected Artist podcast, the founder of The Church Project Community Art Center in Monte Vista, and the grant writer for San Luis Valley Great Outdoors in Alamosa.
