Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as he discusses the importance of educating young Catholics on the numerous heresies of the Church and how to confront them in our modern day. Father Koys dives in particular to the Heresy of Modernism and the challenge of explaining the negative part of Modernism to today’s youth. He explains Modernism as matter of Novelty vs Tradition, novelty comes and goes but tradition is timeless, both new and old. Father Koys further goes into the aspect of Agnosticism in the Modernist heresy, on the notion that religion is not found outside us but comes from within and that the Church understands man’s reason is flawed and subject to a higher intellect than himself.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish
