Episode 49 - Drew Denford | Living with Anxiety

from The Betar Project · host Nick Betar

This is episode 49 of The Betar Project with special guest Drew Denford. From the outside looking in you would believe Drew is living the life. Bodybuilder, PT at the famous Golds gym, partying at festivals, traveling and living on the other side of the world. But as the saying goes 'DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER'.From a young age drew has struggled with anxiety, ADHD, Depression and Bi-polar. He never had a great relationship with his mum and was hard to have one with his dad as he was rarely around due to work. Drew had a cancer scare which resulted in him loosing one of his testicles, this was one of the turning points in his life which resulted in him leaving behind his comfortable lifestyle to jump on a plane and move to London. PS He hates flying.  This is where Drew decided to start writing down all his feelings and emotions from all the highs to the lows which included times where he was crippled with anxiety that he wouldn't leave his house. We talk about the things he learnt about himself, life lessons and how he deals with his anxiety.Drew now plans to publish all those feelings/emotions into a book, start a podcast named Ambitious Anxiety and continue to build his PT business.I couldn't thank Drew enough for coming on and opening up.
