Doch nachdem Knox schon in weiten Teilen von Medien und Gesellschaft als »Engel mit den Eisaugen« verteufelt wurde, werden Sollecito und sie im Dezember 2009 auch vor Gericht für schuldig befunden und zu 25 und 26 Jahren Gefängnis verurteilt.
