I love Linux but don’t like playing movies or music because the audio out is not normalized and I have manually adjust the volume levels constantly. In Windows I use K Lite codec pack which has a plugin option to normalize the main audio out, but I can’t seem to find a way to do this in Linux. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Had the same problem with normalizing sound and this is how I solve it, it’s pretty easy, in your distribution find and install LADSPA plugins, then just edit /etc/pulse/default.pa and add this two lines at the end : load-module module-ladspa-sink sink_name=compressor plugin=sc4_1882 label=sc4 control=1,1.5,401,-10,20,5,12 set-default-sink compressor Reboot and it’s all good Possible answer as well Compressing Sound Thanks for Watching and we will see you next week on Destination Linux
