George’s books couldn’t have been written for a better time in education.  We talk about the necessity to get educators to build meaningful relationships with students by understanding the culture of students they teach. Specifically, marginalized students who may be underserved will be engaged by a teacher who invests time in relationship-building. The master teacher will then flip that interest into the subject matter to achieve student success. George reminds us that “Innovating Inside of the box” is the most useful tool available to educators.
