Episode 5: Unlearning

from The Higher Self Podcast · host Jackie Avila

The only things that are constant in our existence are change....and death. With change must come new set of skills and behaviors that will help us survive. As you grow and change, you must unlearn ideas, thoughts, or behaviors that no longer serve your higher self. We can not keep outdated thought processes if we truly wish to become better human beings. Unlearning is the process of letting go of thoughts or behaviors that once used to support our old selves. Some of which are passed down passively from our family, friends and environments. However, the more conscious you become and the more in control you wish to be in your life, you have to start questioning those thoughts or behaviors. You have to become ACTIVE in what information your brain stores. You must determine which information will help you be authentically you and which information is only there to support the imposter. This episode explores how our brains work and how we can make better behaviors stick. How we can expose ourselves to different information that better serves who we wish to be. Let's explore how we can become more authentically ourselves by way of unlearning!
