Today I am speaking with Katie Wyer. As a child, art was Katies escape from the noise of a household of eight. It was also her favourite time filler while traveling the world with her husband.  After having four children in five years, she longed to put brush to paper without the stress of toddlers’ wandering hands getting into her oil paints or mediums.After finding the space to paint freely again, the female figure features almost exclusively in Katie’s work. Her true passion lies in connecting with her collectors through the emotions and messages that inspire her pieces, as we all learn to embrace our own beautiful mess. In this interview we talk about balancing family and business and how Katie’s family influence her art.
