This is the third installment of this election series, and in this short episode I discuss my own experience integrating the woman who's hurt and scared by the election results with the healer and leader I want to show up as in a healing genre that places a huge emphasis on high vibe language & messaging. As I faced down my own shame at wanting to express my true feelings on social media, I was reminded of the cultural considerations we learn about as trauma informed practitioners. Those aspects of our life path that make it hard to dissipate trauma with an IG reminding us to breathe & be present. Then, in the second part of this solo episode, I offer some of the incredible self care I've been able to offer for myself in the last few days - the deepest dark morning breathwork sessions I've ever offered to myself plus other ways I've nourished my soul. It's not about abandoning our high vibe practices, just being aware of when we need a little more, when the pain and fear needs to be named - our audiences are craving to be seen and understood right now, not just assuaged.
