Episode 504: Consistency is Key
from Asians In Baseball Hosted by Asians in Baseball
What's new with Asians in Baseball a few weeks into the season? First up, check out our new TeePublic store for all your Asians in Baseball merch needs! Ichiro's new bronze statue is revealed...a little wonkily, and we give a quick update on the guys on the IL. In position player news, Steven Kwan scores from first on some little league defense and discusses chasing his baseball dreams as a shorter player and Asian American, Trevor Larnach and Kim Hyeseong prove they deserve more playing time, and Bo Bichette's bat seems to be heating up...amid speculation he may still be nursing an injury. Then in pitching, Tatsuya Imai and Kodai Senga struggle; Joey Cantillo, Kumar Rocker, and Tomoyuki Sugano are solid; Kai Wei Teng, Sean Manaea, and Riley O'Brien make the bullpen proud, and Shota Imanaga and Bryan Woo do NOT deserve this from their offenses! Finally, Ohtani breaks another record, has the longest active streak without an earned run, and had 4 homers in his last 7 games, blah blah blah.
