Episode 51 - Marcus Smith

from The Betar Project · host Nick Betar

This is episode 51 of The Betar Project with special guest Marcus Smith.Marcus is a former professional rugby player who has played all over the world. He is now the owner of Inner Fight Gym in Dubai. In 2018 whilst on a training bike ride Marcus was hit by a truck at 65kmph. He talks about the moment where he had a out of body experience and that he could have easily given up. I asked him why didn't you die? His response was  "I wanted to live more then I wanted to die and when you want to live that much you are just willing to fight". Which he did for hours before finally reaching a hospital and with hours and hour, thousands and thousands of repetitions he rebuilt his body. It is truly incredible what Marcus has done since the accident from 30 marathons in 30 days to running a trail race on the Vulvic Volcano in France just 4 months after the accident. If you want to gain an Ultra Mindset this is the guy to learn from. I was truly honoured to have Marcus give up his time to come on the podcast and I hope you listening will learn something from it.If you enjoyed please tag this episode in your socials and give a 5 star rating/review on iTunes.   Want to find out more about Marcus: Instagram: @mjd_smithDocumentary: Fight for Every Breath (YouTube)Support the showConnect with Nick:Instagram TikTok YouTube
