Episode 51: MLS Fantasy Draft 2021

And with the first pick, of the 2021 DP Pod MLS Fantasy Draft, Andrew Barnikel Jr selects... Well if you want to find out who was picked, then maybe you should listen to the episode. Yes you read that right we are doing an MLS Fantasy draft, but with a bit of a twist. We have determined a list of 15 criteria that must be met by the 15 players we are choosing, so one player per criterion. Then after we make our team we will be tracking their fantasy scores and seeing who made the best team!Lets go over some rules. So we are picking our team based on the position layout from fantasy, so for those unfamiliar we are selecting 2 GKs, 5 Defenders, 5 Midfielders, and 3 Forwards. Then we have our criteria that must be met. One overarching criterion that we all must meet throughout is no more than 2 players from one team. Other than that rule, each of the 15 criteria must be met by 15 individual players. Some of the criteria includes, World Cup Appearance, Shares the same birth month, and has played on 3 or more MLS teams.
