On this episode of Survive & Thrive 8791, I welcome Bradie Ewing to the Buck & Honey’s remote studios. Ewing, whose path from small-town star to NFL player is a story of hard work, dedication, and rebranding.A three-sport star at Richland Center High School in Wisconsin, Bradie thrived on the football field, basketball court, and track team. He chose the walk-on route at the University of Wisconsin, where his dedication and reliability earned him a scholarship his last two seasons. Bradie went on to have a successful college career, before an impressive performance at the NFL Combine would get him selected in the 5th round with the 157th pick inm the 2012 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons.Bradie’s NFL career was plagued by injuries. After three seasons, including his last with the Jacksonville Jaguars, decided to retire. Uncertainty after his playing days, Bradie relied on his work ethic and his 3 Ps: Purpose, Process, and Progress. He spent a year as a strength coach for the Badger football team, then moved into the insurance field before landing at his current job at Kelley Supply, Inc.Hard work, a deep faith, and a commitment to his family, Bradie has rebranded himself and built a solid career after a life of football. This will be a good one. Can’t wait.
