Episode 51: The One About Getting Out of a Rut
from The Fit Parent Podcast with Jeff Dalzell · host Jeff Dalzell
On today’s episode of The Fit Parent Podcast we are talking about how to get ourselves out of a rut and back to winning with our fitness & nutrition routines. We go into depth on: How to get yourself unstuck when you’re in a rut How to start achieving quick wins every day How to identify our minimum effective doses Why making failure hard and success easy helps us win Why we need to stop waiting for 100% adherence to start celebrating our wins We can't let ruts define what we do. When we focus on our failures, we steer into them and continue the cycle. To break this, we have to focus back on the basics. Focus on one single thing that you can achieve and celebrate the hell out of it. Motivation is a momentum game. When we give ourselves the chance to win (no matter how small it may feel) it creates a domino effect that will start to make our failures feel smaller.
