He opens up about the band's drastic new direction which sees them quite heavily bring the synth from the background of their songs and gives it a position front and centre for all to see and hear, but that doesn't mean the strong, hard-hitting lyrical content is missing, something Amity have become masters of over the years due to Joel being so open about his own battles with mental health and depression. He also discusses how the idea of the Misery Saga short film series came about (the story behind Amity's singles they've released so far) and how hard it was to cut almost two hours of storyline back to 20 mins for the music videos.
