Episode 52: Pat Barrett "Beautiful Life"

On this episode of I Love That Song Keith Stevens talks with Pat Barrett about his new song "Beautiful Life". Pat Barrett also shares a special story of when he met Matt Redman early in his career and how he mentored him.   Pat Barrett had this to say about his new song, "You realize when you sink into the to the reality of your life that you really have two options, to trust or not trust. If you trust you have to live with open hands, and when you do that there is a joy there there's a thankfulness there's a there's a living from what you've been given instead of this grasping. When we try to just run after things that don't belong to us like you get more money, but it doesn't make you happier. If I just had more, I would feel more joy which is not the case. Jesus invites us into a joy like those are fruits of the spirit Love, Joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Those things come from realizing that life is a gift and setting our hearts and our lives towards Jesus."
