Episode 52 - Ruby Sparks *Listener's Choice*

What if you could create a partner that had all the talents and personality traits you've ever wanted in them? Calvin (Paul Dano) is a young writer who found literary success at a very young age and is now struggling to finish his next book.  After having dreams of a mysterious, inspiring woman, Calvin has a burst of creative energy...and he also has a new houseguest.  Ruby Sparks, the product of Calvin's imagination is now living in his home.  Once Calvin realizes he is in fact not crazy, he embarks on a wild love affair with Ruby.  He takes advantage of his ability to completely control her, and their relationship takes a dark turn.  Paul Dano plays this type of leading man well, and Zoe Kazan, who also wrote the screenplay, is duly charming as Ruby.  A thought-provoking and original film, "Ruby Sparks" spawns an interesting discussion among Andrew, Phil and Aaron, a guest who requested the film be reviewed on "In the Queue."
