Ben Pearson - "Kabul24" Documentary DirectorBen Pearson is an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker with numerous awards, honors, and gallery shows to his credit. He has made his home in Nashville for the last twenty-eight years, where he lives with his wife Elaine. Besides his long standing career as a freelance photographer Ben co-wrote and directed the cinematography for the dramatic feature The Second Chance (2006 – Sony Pictures Releasing). In the fall of 2009 Pearson made his directorial debut with the feature-length documentary Kabul 24, a riveting account of the eight Western aid workers captured and held hostage by the Taliban in the weeks prior to 9/11. In 2012 he co-wrote and directed the cinematography for the screen adaptation of the New York Times best selling memoir Blue Like Jazz. Currently Ben is working on a series of paintings for an upcoming show in Memphis in 2019.
