"It's Really Not So Scary" - Dissecting Disney's Haunted Mansion rides as Primary Sources with Nick Vincent BarberaHalloween is just around the corner which means this week’s episodes of the EPS Podcast will involve things that relate to the spookiest time of the year.  And who better to discuss the season of witches, ghosts, jack-o-lanterns and goblins than the pumpkin king himself, Nick Vincent Barbera, aka “Jack Skellington” at New York’s Beetle House. The Haunted Mansion at Disney Land, and later Magic Kingdom, is considered by many as one of a handful of “original rides” along with Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Mad Tea Party.  But, even though the spirit of a haunted house was there from the start (what amusement park is complete without one?) it really didn’t materialize until over a decade after the park initially opened.  Nick, who recently went viral with his Hatbox Ghost recording session video, joined me to break down this iconic Disney park staple.
