In this episode we are exiled to the backyard by a gang of unruly teens.  We are forced to record in the "cold".  There is an epic edit about halfway through as our recorder failed without telling us.  Hopefully the whirlwind isn't too distracting and you are able to tease out 1 or 2 nuggest from our crazy. Life in the Clouds is a twice-monthly podcast where we discuss marriage, family and everything in between. Imagine That Sydnee Sydnee is 20 something-year-old black girl who finds herself talking out loud instead of writing in her journal because it takes too long. I named this podcast "Imagine That" for 2 reasons, first its an ode to an old bookstore I loved when I was a kid (I'm one of those girls who loves to buy books but then either never finishes them or opens them) and secondly my head is always in the clouds. This podcast talks about anything from my fears, Tupac conspiracy theories, challenges, messy work life, friends, sports, and anything else that comes to mind. Enjoy! Dhai Aakhar - Poetry of Life Arisudan Yadav “You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming”, said Pablo Neruda once. Taking a cue from Kabir’s Dhai Aakhar or two and a half letters of life’s wisdom, we bring to you this Hindi Poetry podcast to recite and talk about the poetry of life, hope, beauty, courage, and motivation. Not all songs need to born from saddest thought. There is always a tomorrow to make up for yesterday. So, let there be poetry about what’s good in the world. In this podcast, we will read poems on Ashavaad, Shringar Ras, Veer Ras, of clouds, of birdsongs, of morning dew drops. Do suggest your favorite poetry that we can read here. We're not just addressing past wounds, but also picking up handy skills and strategies along the way to steer our journey forward. We're convinced that no one should have to pilot through these experiences alone. With a common objective, we pondered the most impactful way to extend out support to women of color tackling generational traumas and experiences in solitude. It turned out that launching a podcast is the best conduit to build a supportive community that engages in raw, real and open dialogues that yield authentic growth. But, add tasty margaritas and some laughs for a good time because a good laugh can overcome more difficulties and dissipates more dark clouds than people realize.
