Tim Grenda (1992-94) is a former newspaper reporter who went to law school on the recommendation of courtroom lawyers, and is now a Content Strategist, Search Engine Optimization Manager for SDSU's Global Campus.Grenda reflects on how he landed interviews with so many big name entertainers while a college student, including the time he was interviewing Brian Setzer of The Stray Cats and learned Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was dead before the news went public. After college, he covered the courts, and was among the reporters who witnessed an execution. He shares the nuances involved in covering such stories.These days, Grenda hires and works with current SDSU students to tell the stories of SDSU Global Campus. He explains how SEO has changed from boring repetitive writing to the focus of E.A.T.
