Mara Tesler Stein, Psy.D. is one of those therapists who inspire me to keep doing what I’m doing, which is merely to invite people on the podcast and push record. The kind of work she does is vital and her passion and heart make you thankful that there are individuals like her out there doing this work. Mara is a clinical psychologist in private practice, specializing in perinatal & maternal-infant mental health. She is the co-author (with  Deborah Davis, Ph.D.) of Parenting Your Premature Baby and Child: The Emotional Journey (Fulcrum, 2004) and Intensive Parenting: Surviving the Journey Through the NICU(Fulcrum, 2013).Dr. Stein is a staunch advocate for trauma-focused care and is trained and certified in a range of integrative trauma therapies.
