Episode 54: Five Lessons I Learned from My Patient.

from Lymphedema Podcast · host Lymphedema Podcast

If you have been following my social media accounts then you know that I recently shared that I a long time patient and friend died earlier this month. The reality of it all has taken some time to sink in. The coincidence that she was laid to rest on the day of her birth has also strangely shook me. What a symbolic meaning to coming full circle. As a CLT I have seen many patients and know that I am not finished meeting new patients. I promise to apply these five lessons to every person I get the blessing of helping along their lymphedema journey. Writing this episode was easy, the words flowed in a therapeutic way and the memories have helped me find closure. I almost removed the ending but it is real and raw emotion. A farewell to someone who taught me so much more than what my words can express. I hope you enjoy and find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in hurting but do not let that keep you from making each moment a teaching moment.
