Episode #54- Most Misquoted Verses w/Sofia Ramirez
from Encounter Podcast Hosted by Encounter Podcast
Welcome to Encounter! This episode was so much fun to make because we were able to talk about our favorite book... the Bible. We sat down with Sofia Ramirez who provided helpful insight into how to avoid reading the Bible through Western eyes. As we moved through the episode, we decided to break it down into three parts. 1. The importance of the author, audience, culture, and hermeneutics. 2. How to look for themes, motifs, and literary movements. 3. How to apply these techniques to commonly out-of-context scriptures. We pray that this episode deepens your relationship with Christ and strengthens your reading of the Bible.
