Episode 55: Food Accessibility and Respecting Cultural Preferences

from Black Iron Radio · host Black Iron Nutrition

Nicole, Quiana and Courtney (one of our wonderful interns!) join us to talk about the various barriers to accessing healthy and nutritious foods that people can face. Not everyone is able to shop at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Our goal is to always be helpful, not only to our clients, but to the general public. Part of that means educating ourselves about the various challenges, difficult circumstances, limited accessibility, limited budgets and diverse cultural food preferences that our clients might have. The more we know, the better we can come up with solutions or mitigations for various challenges and obstacles, so it can become easier for people to begin to enjoy a lifelong relationship with health.
