She is an intersectional feminist and speaks up against gender and caste based oppression and discrimination. She has a strong voice on social media and writes on social issues whenever she gets a chance. She believes in opening up conversations around matters that are considered taboo and challenges the norm frequently. She is keenly interested in coaching and mentoring young minds on career matters, communication and building confidence.Poornima has authored a book called An Italian Encounter, which is a light, breezy read.
