This one is based during Samhain and what a time to tell it as the winter closes in and the dark half of the year settles around us. The King Conaire Mór had a bit of a poisoned chalice when he was given the Kingship and had a number if extremely precise geasa he was sworn not to break… unfortunately for him he broke the first, on Samhain eve, and he could do little to stop himself breaking the rest. Conaire Mór is one of the semi-historic figures we have in the Kings Cycle of Irish Mythology. His birth ties him into the Story of Midir and Etáin, and for those of you not familiar to this story, you can listen to episode 13 of our podcast for a recap of that story.
