On the 56th episode of The Fanboy Garage, we give listeners their weekly dose of our box office analysis before unpacking our thoughts on the amazing success The Walt Disney Studio has had in 2019. With four billion dollar movies already under the studio's belt with Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin and now the Lion King, we look ahead at other Disney films that are on deck to join the billion dollar club. From there, we take a trip down memory lane to talk about 1987 film Masters of the Universe starring Dolph Lundgren and discuss whether or not today's audience still have an appetite for swords, magic and other mythical elements as part of their cinema viewing experience. Getting back to current topics, we also discuss the arrival of Greg Fraser as the cinematographer for Matt Reeves' The Batman and talk about the importance of the role for setting the look and feel of Batman and the world he lives in.
