Episode 56: From Arizona Athlete to El Paso Sports Voice: The Bea Martinez Story

This episode brings big-time sports desk energy to The B.S. Podcast as we sit down with Bea Martinez, ABC 7 KVIA weekend sports anchor/reporter, to talk about her journey from Arizona athlete to one of El Paso’s trusted sports voices. Bea breaks down what it really takes to make it in sports journalism: the long nights, the pressure of getting the story right, building real trust with athletes, and earning respect in a fast-moving media world. From covering high school rivalries to college athletics and the heart of the Borderland sports scene, Bea gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the grind that fans do not always see. We also get into fan culture, social media, career growth, and how she balances the demands of sports media with family life. This one is about passion, hustle, storytelling, and representing El Paso sports the right way. #SportsJournalism #ElPasoSports #KVIA #WomenInSports #TheBSPodcast88
