Episode 56 - Producing Parker
from Cartoon Night in Canada Hosted by Chris Luciantonio
On this week's CNIC Detour, Sylvie and Chris ponder what exactly a "producer" actually does and the sorry state of daytime television as they get into the needlessly zany workplace comedy Producing Parker. While admiring the sharp direction and stunning aesthetic of this forgotten TvTropolis (remember that??) series, we suffer through the two-thousand and late sense of humour which feels like somebody got too much Family Guy randomness in their 30 Rock. A horny, catty show with a star-studded cast that neither Sylvie or Chris could figure out who its supposed to appeal to. Plus, we determine what is the best kind of daytime television, Sylvie explains some show called Blindspot, and the glorious return of Mothman talk. Episode covered is Episode 9 "Age-DEE-Fying." Original airdate unknown. Directed by Robin Budd. Written by Jenn Engels. If you liked what you heard please consider giving us a like, share, follow, and rating to help us reach a wider audience.
