Episode 56: Update on COVID-19

On February 21, 2021, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Dr. James Baker and Dr. John Zurlo who provided an update on symptoms, testing, guidelines for returning to work after exposure, and answers to frequently asked questions about the vaccine.

Dr. Baker is the founding Director of the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center and the Ruth Dow Doan Professor at Michigan Medicine. For 20 years, Dr. Baker was the chief of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the U-M. He is also a professor of biomedical engineering in the College of Engineering and the Director of the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences. For the past 5 years, he was also the CEO and CMO of Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) the national food allergy foundation.

Dr. Zurlo is a Distinguished Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Infectious Disease Division at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
