Episode 56 - War On Women

from I Wanna Party With Bob · host Bob Macpherson

My introcduction to War On Women came via Facebook several years ago, when a friend posted a video for the song “Say It”. Powerful music, brutally powerful words. From that moment, I absolutely LOVED this band. Message and music are intertwined in such a perfect way. Pumping your fist along to the songs while in your mind and heart you resolve to make the world a better place. This band is cathartic for me, uplifting in the sense that they give voice to the voiceless. The world needs more bands like War On Women. In this episode, I had a talk with Shawna and Jenarchy of War On Women, plus we did some political punk inspired trivia. Four War On Women songs are also featured herein, Effemimania, Pro-Life?, Predator In Chief and The Chalise And The Blade.

War On Women the band. Powerful music, powerful words, powerful people. I'm hard pressed to think of another band that backs up the message with actions. This episode is a talk with Shawna Potter and Jenarchy of War On Women, four songs by the band spanning their career, plus political punk rock based trivia!
