If you’ve ever tried to find a career that honors your values, you know it can be challenging. Many people find themselves settling. Instead of working to further their ideals, they work to live. Today’s guests are aiming to change that. Bonnie Brown and Paul Turcotte are here to discuss finding a career that allows you to harness your passion for making the world a better place. A Life-long PassionBonnie has always loved animals. She became a vegetarian as a teenager and later became vegan. For a long time, her passion for animals was separate from her successful career in finance, until one day when she asked herself a life-changing question: why? Paul approached the vegan lifestyle from a different direction. In 2013, he decided to take better care of his health and adopted a plant-based diet. His expertise lies in real estate brokerage and entrepreneurship. When he and Bonnie married in 2017, they combined their talents to start Passion Placement, an employment platform dedicated to connecting people with careers whose missions they support. Initially inspired by veganism and animal welfare, Passion Placement now connects people with jobs to improve public health, mitigate climate change and other facets of sustainability. Making the World a Better PlaceDo you start your day by asking yourself, what you can do to help?
