People are so mentally disconnected and focused on the wrong things, that they aren't concerned for their own lives. People are caught up in technology until they are blind as can be. All new technology isn't good and in fact, some is down right dangerous! In what could have been a deadly situation, the passenger's concern was with getting to the airport on time/not missing his flight, rather than being concerned for his life.
