Episode 576: Sigmund Bloom

from Saturday2Sunday Football Podcast · host Matt Caraccio, Paul Perdichizzi

Paul is joined by special guest Sigmund Bloom (@SigmundBloom) of Football Guys. The two of them discuss the 2023 rookie class in great detail from a team and fit perspective and from a fantasy redraft and dynasty perspective.  The conversation first starts discussing the quarterbacks and Sigmund shares his detailed thoughts on Anthony Richardson and his ceiling, Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and why Hendon Hooker may have the 2nd highest ceiling of any the 2023 quarterbacks.  Next, they discuss the running backs and Sigmund discusses his feelings on all the top backs from this class. Some of the most detailed discussions are focused on why he thinks the Lions have big plans for Jahmyr Gibbs as an offensive weapon, why he is so intrigued by Devon Achane and Tyjae Spears and how the talent and upside of some of the day three running backs is not at all that different than some of the day two running backs.  Lastly, they discuss the pass catching rookies. First they discuss the rookie tight ends and Sigmund shares why he is highest on Dalton Kincaid and Sam LaPorta and thinks the ceiling of Luke Musgrave is higher than than of MIchael Mayer. Following the tight end discussion they turn to the rookie wide receivers and Sigmund discusses why Jaxon Smith-Njigba is in a tier by himself. Then Sigmund explains why he prefers slightly Zay Flowers in the next tier over the other first round rookie receivers. To close out the show, Sigmund shares his thoughts on the day two wide receivers and some of the day three receivers.  To purchase the S2S Premium Notebooks for $9.99 or to read the full descriptions of what is in each notebooks, click here.
