But that’s exactly why you’ll remember it — because God wanted it to stick. Here’s what it means: when we keep going back to the same mistakes, same bad habits, or same unwise choices, it’s like going back to something disgusting that we should’ve walked away from.Think about it — maybe God helped you out of a bad attitude, a toxic friendship, or a habit that was pulling you down. But then you find yourself slipping back into it again.It’s like saying, “God, thanks for cleaning me up… but I think I’ll go roll in the mess again.”And if Jesus were standing in front of you — He wouldn’t yell or shame you. He’d look at you with love and say, “You don’t have to go back there. I set you free from that.”He’d remind you that He’s already washed you clean — and He wants you to keep walking forward, not back. Sometimes the enemy tries to convince you that you’ll never change, that you’ll always be stuck. But that’s a lie. The truth is — every time you choose wisdom over foolishness, every time you say “no” to the old and “yes” to God, you’re proving that His Spirit lives in you.
