Her interest is in medical sociology, and she recently published a book describing her post-doctoral work entitled, "Doctors' Orders: The Making of Status Hierarchies in an Elite Profession." She evaluates the differences between US MD and "Non-US MD" physicians regarding opportunities in medicine and medical specialties.
