This can give you the time and space you need to focus on your artistic practice. Look for jobs with creative flexibility: While some art-related jobs can be restrictive in terms of creative freedom, there are others that offer more flexibility. For example, working as a graphic designer or illustrator can allow you to exercise your creative skills while also earning a steady income. Don't be afraid to explore non-art related jobs: As Armin mentioned, sometimes it can be easier to have a job that is completely unrelated to art, in order to leave time and energy for your personal artistic pursuits.
