Episode 59 - Foxcatcher, My Dude
from Murder, My Dude Hosted by Murder, My Dude
Murder, My Dude returns with another super-sized helping of true crime goodness to help make your quarantine downtime a little more fun. John DuPont was social distancing before it was cool (ok, that's enough Covid references). The eccentric multi-millionaire lived a childhood full of loneliness before devoting much of his adulthood to sport. By the mid 1980s, wrestling had drawn DuPont's interest and he started his own elite club with some of the best America - and later, the world - could offer. When John's mental state started to weaken, however, the consequences turned deadly. And somehow, this story led us to a lengthy discussion of the Wendy's Superbar. You'll have to listen to find out how. Elsewhere on the show, This Week In Murder explores a new development on a case from the beginning of the century and a horrible hate crime at a Sam's Club in Texas. At the end, we finish with an edition of Who Died The Worst that only a Tiger King could love. Like what we're doing? Subscribe and tell a friend!
