Episode 59 - IRKO

From his personality, unmatched talent, and of course his classic fit with a bow tie included, audio engineer IRKO has had quite the journey to get where he is today. You may know his work with the likes of Joey Bada$$, Black Thought, Swizz Beatz and countless others. This week he took some time to join the show where he reflects on some of that journey after moving from Italy to the U.S. and having a brief stint working in New York City which eventually led him to Los Angeles where today he seeks to complete his greatest challenge yet, building his dream studio from the ground up. He broke down the process of hiring a close team of builders and designers to help him construct the new space which is set to open later this fall and how he has documented the experience via his YouTube and social media to give people an inside look into its Inception. We’re hoping to make it out to the studio in person very soon where IRKO will continue to mix many of our favorite records in his own personal playground!
