Episode 592 - Kazuki Hongo

Kazuki Hongo is a retired martial arts practitioner of the Japanese art of archery, Kyudo. In highschool, my classmates change every year so we had to introduce ourselves every first day of school. There was this classmate that said I can't be the best player in Kyudo. I think he was joking but that made my heart really motivated and those words kept me pushing myself. Kazuki Hongo - Episode 592 Living life from one country to another, life can change in an instant. Such was the case for Kazuki Hongo, who grew up living in different countries due to his father's work and the thing that kept him connected to his culture was Martial Arts. Living in the US, he learned Karate with his friends, and by reaching middle school, he's in Tokyo trying out for Kyudo, the Japanese art of Archery. Hongo-san joined either because he wanted a sport that he wouldn't run or he wanted to honor and embrace his own culture that he missed half of his life.
