Today we have "The Perfect Mark" by Melodie Campbell and an excerpt from "Dropkick Romance" by Cyrus Parker “The Perfect Mark” By Melodie Campbell Melodie Campbell has been a banker, a marketing director, a comedy writer, a college instructor, and possibly the worst runway model ever. She has over 200 publications, including 30 short stories, and has won five awards — including third prize in the Bony Pete short story contest at the Bloody Words (Crime Writers of Canada) conference in Victoria, for this story, in a blind competition. Her comic alternate world fantasy, Rowena Through the Wall, is available on Amazon. Read more at melodiecampbell.com. An excerpt from "Dropkick Romance" By Cyrus Parker Cyrus Parker is a pro-wrestler-turned-poet, hailing from a small town in New Jersey, where he lives with his poetess wife, Amanda Lovelace. Originally from michigan, where he spent half a decade working on the local independent wrestling scene, Cyrus is now trading his literal dropkicks for literary dropkicks as he puts wrestling on the back burner to pursue his other passion, writing. A creative writing major at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ, the self-proclaimed DROPKICKpoet has set out on a journey to find his voice, and himself, through the written word. When he's not illegibly scrawling away in his journal or typing away on his next project, Cyrus can be found napping excessively after consuming massive amounts of coffee or wandering the world, trying to be the very best Pokémon master that ever lived. Twitter: @cyrusparker Instagram: @cyrusparker Website: cyrusparker.com DROPKICKromance can be found in most bookstores, including Barnes & Noble and most local independents, as well as Target and Amazon.
