    Episode 8

Welcome to episode eight of The Independent Writers Podcast! Today we have "Watermelon Roundup Run" by Judge Burdon and "Fondness for Disappearances Won't Necessarily Stop the Chase. Will it?", and "I Still Think About it Whenever I See Droplets Outside My Bedside Window" by Nandinee Sharma. “Watermelon Roundup Run” - by Judge Burdon On an unseasonably cool  July morning in Chicago, equivalent to Dickens' David Copperfield , Judge Burdon was born on a Friday. His mother theorized it was so he would be in time for weekend festivities. His interest in the predominance of the written word inspired his study of English Literature. He attended Universities in the United States, London and Paris , dedicating his life's scholarship to the study of Victorian Novels and Authors. His writing career to date has been devoted primarily to poetry and songwriting. He is presently engaged in finishing his book "Imitation of Myself." A non-fiction story encompassing his experiences as a drug runner for a Mexican Cartel. Judge celebrated his 65th birthday last July and lives modestly in Costa Rica.  Additional work by Judge Burden was also featured on Episode 4 of The Independent Writers' Podcast. Be sure to check that out as well! "Fondness for Disappearances Won't Necessarily Stop the Chase. Will it?", and "I Still Think About it Whenever I See Droplets Outside My Bedside Window" by Nandinee Sharma Nandinee Sharma is a 20-something, fairly average girl-next-door, who'd probably think that entering through the window would provide a substantial amount of fun rather than simply walking through the front door. Her writings are purely fiction and she believes every piece of fiction has something fiction in it. She is supremely lousy when it comes to sharing things, so writing just happened. She believes we are all broken, everybody is dealing with something or the other, impactful enough in its own way, so its necessary to be a little messed up before you gather yourself and start picking up the pieces Broken can't be mended, but who said broken can't be beautiful? An excerpt from "Dropkick Romance" By Cyrus Parker Cyrus Parker is a pro-wrestler-turned-poet, hailing from a small town in New Jersey, where he lives with his poetess wife, Amanda Lovelace. Originally from michigan, where he spent half a decade working on the local independent wrestling scene, Cyrus is now trading his literal dropkicks for literary dropkicks as he puts wrestling on the back burner to pursue his other passion, writing. A creative writing major at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ, the self-proclaimed DROPKICKpoet has set out on a journey to find his voice, and himself, through the written word. When he's not illegibly scrawling away in his journal or typing away on his next project, Cyrus can be found napping excessively after consuming massive amounts of coffee or wandering the world, trying to be the very best Pokémon master that ever lived.
