Episode 6: Dr. Mark Bolte and Dr. Gregg Elliott discuss formative practices for the with-God life

from Masters in Making · host Dr. Brian Fidler

In this episode, Dr. Mark Bolte and Dr. Gregg Elliott discuss what M. Robert Mulholland Jr. refers to as "one-sided spirituality," in which based on personality and preferences, we may lean into elements of spiritual formation that are more comfortable for us due to our preferences, more available to us due to our circumstances, or otherwise more accessible, and neglect those other disciplines, virtues, and formative values that are equally important but maybe less understood and embraced. We explore some of the formative practices that are available to us, and understand better how they apply to our work with clients.
