With over 18 years of research experience,Dr. Chiurchiù has pioneered work on the immunomodulatory functions of bioactive lipids, including endocannabinoids and Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators (SPMs). His research focuses on how SPMs (such as resolvins, lipoxins, and maresins) regulate innate and adaptive immunity in the brain, with particular emphasis on neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases.
