In this episode, Conor chats with Filippa Guarna, a media veteran with an impressive career spanning over 25 years. Starting in 1998, Filippa embarked on a radio journey, working for Southern Cross Austereo with the Triple M Community Switchboard. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the original Gig Piglet, reporting on music news three times a day during the week. But it was in the world of motorsport where Filippa found her true calling. Her love for motor racing was nurtured from a young age, growing up in a family that adored Holdens and avidly watched the Bathurst 1000. Throughout her illustrious career, Filippa has worn many hats, from writer to pit reporter, TV producer and editor, and media and social media manager. Notably, she was the first to hold a social media manager role in Australian motorsport over a decade ago. Her work has taken her across Australia and the world, from Dubai to South Africa and the United States. Now, after 25 years, Filippa has come full circle, passing on her knowledge to the next generation of drivers as a Media Master Coach. Simultaneously, she serves as the media and operations manager for the V8 SuperUtes Series. Despite not being a die-hard car enthusiast, Filippa's passion for motorsport remains as strong as ever, and she takes great pride in her accomplishments.
