Episode 6. Jocelyn Dunnavant

from reworkingparents Hosted by reworkingparents

"In addition to wanting a creative career, I also saw that being a hairstylist gave me a great deal of flexibility. I don't know many jobs where you can come back as slowly or as quickly as you want." Jocelyn is my hairstylist. She was en route to an MFA and academia. Instead she chose hairstyling to allow her more flexibility. She has a work-life fit that actually works for her. Listen to her talk about feeling generally satisfied with her work and life, feeling supported and proud of what she does. She's a happy working mom and she knows how rare it is. (It really shouldn't be.)
