Episode #6: Perchance to Dream – What Can Dream Sequences Tell Us About Society?

from תל אביב 360 – ערוץ הפודקסטים של אוניברסיטת תל אביב · host Tel Aviv University

Do historical and contemporary theatre performances reveal something about how we collectively dream across time and space? In this episode of The Global Connection, host Anna Sajecki talks to Dr. Sharon Aronson Lehavi and Dr. Ruthie Abeliovich, two professors from the Department of Theatre Arts at Tel Aviv University, about a new international project with the University of Cologne. Curating Theatre Histories is a project led by Lehavi and Abeliovich, along with Professor Peter Marx from the University of Cologne’s Institute for Media Culture and Theatre Studies, which dives into two of the largest Hebrew-speaking and German-speaking theatre archives to discover what theatrical dream sequences can tell us about national, transnational and social imaginations.
