Episode 6 - Resident Black Ops

from YoVideogames!

So, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 came out. I wanted to share how delightfully surprised I am. It isn't a total pile of garbage. The net code is pretty good, the guns are cool, and I will literally power-slide the shit out of any problem. (UPDATE: there were some problems the day after we recorded this, but Treyarch released a patch the same night and cleared it up. Again, they seem to be on their shit this time around... I remain positive.) After that, we move on to saving a popular franchise. Simmons has a pitch for how to save Resident Evil. Honestly it wouldn't be that hard except they may have to cut ties with all the bullshit they've done previously. Including much of the convoluted and often confusing story. Now, this isn't impossible. They did it for RE4 and that turned out FANTASTIC. It's one of my all time favorite games. Simmons describes his story, and to me it sounds an awful lot like Tomb Raider (2013). And you know what? I dig it. It's a good idea. I loved Tomb Raider. Imagine if it had been darker and more horrific than adventure in tone. That game would have kicked ass as a survival horror. Anyway, check it out Doods!
